Students seeking admission to various undergraduate courses in Delhi University, have a week more to fill in and submit their pre-admission forms till June 18, which is the last day of registration. However, since many applicants registering online had problems accessing the form or were apprehensive of the process, dean, students’ welfare office, DU, has issued a step-by-step guide on how applicants can go about the online process.
How to access the form?
The process of filling online forms involves following three steps:
Creating login/password and entering class XII details.
Filling up college and course choices
Paying either through demand draft or Payment gateway (credit/debit cards of all banks are accepted)
The ‘login’ can be created using any e-mail ID. Once an account is created, the candidate can move to next page for filling up personal profile, which contains all information related to class XII board exam like name of Board, year of passing, roll number and subject-wise marks.
After completing it, the candidate can move to next page, which requires all college/ course choices to be filled-in. Once candidate starts filling up course choice in a college, it is advised that all courses have to be filled in one go.
It has been observed that without saving college and course choices, some candidates have made the payment. So, the university has decided to give another chance to those candidates who have made the payment and could not fill college-course choice, can fill up the choices without making any additional payment.
The candidates are further advised to check the status of their application using ‘Application Number’. This will give them information regarding payment made and number of college-course choices filled-in. They can keep the print out as an acknowledgement.
Multiple applications made by a candidate through online/offline mode (duly paid) are accepted for the purpose of admission (no application/s shall be rejected).
